How do I create Connections in a course?

Connections can be made by teachers and students. They serve to show how course concepts are related. Teachers can create "Course Connections" which are visible to students -- "My Connections" are personal connections and are not visible to students. Teachers can create, update, hide, delete, and rearrange connections. 



To make a new Course Connection:

  1. Select the All Connections tab.
  2. Click on the “Create A Course Connection” button. The course outline will appear with checkboxes beside each concept.

  3. Select one or more checkboxes and write a description explaining how two ideas are related. Descriptions are limited to 1000 characters.


  4. Click the “Create” button at the bottom of the page. You can edit connections after you create them by clicking on the pencil icon. You can hide connections by clicking the live button off, or you can delete the connection by clicking the remove icon. Rearrange your connections by dragging and dropping with the arrow icon.
