How do I create Assignments in Odigia?

Formative assessments for each concept are located under the Assignments tab. Odigia assignments are separated into three categories, which you can pick and choose to populate, for each concept: Practice and two additional areas to be used and named as you'd prefer.

Note:

If you are copying and pasting content into the Assignments tab, turn the paste as plain text button on for best results.

Practice

The Practice tab provides a place for students to check their understanding of the reading, without the stress of a graded review. Practice tab performance data will be used to populate the Teacher Dashboard.

Note:

You can choose to include students’ practice review scores in their participation grade.

Under the Practice tab, you can create multiple choice, matching, and fill-in-the-blank questions to test students’ comprehension of course material. Text and photos can be inserted into all question types. Feedback fields are optional for all question types. The default feedback messages are “correct” or “incorrect.”

Note:

Students receive a limited number of chances to answer assessment questions correctly, before the question’s correct answer is revealed.

You can edit, remove, or rearrange assessment questions by selecting the appropriate icon in the formatting toolbar.

Note:

Instructors must be in editing course content mode to create, edit, and arrange assessment questions.

As you type your fill in the black question, any word or phrase that you want students to fill in must be offset by brackets [ ].

Items in brackets will show in the dropdown located below the question. You must add in possible answers for each item in the dropdown. You can identify multiple correct answers by separating the correct answers with two asterisks **. When all items in the dropdown have correct answers identified, click "Add."
