How do I register Odigia as a Global LTI Tool Provider in Blackboard?


To register Odigia as a Global LTI Tool Provider in Blackboard, please follow the steps below: 

  1. Register Odigia as an “LTI Tool Provider”
  2. Create placement
  3. Add the Odigia link to a Course

Register Odigia as an “LTI Tool Provider”

  1. Login into Blackboard with an account having administrative privileges

  2. Select System Admin in the upper right corner

3. In the Integrations group, select LTI Tool Providers

4. Select the Register Provider Domain button

5. Enter the following information and submit:

     a. Provider Domain: URL will be provided by Odigia via emai

     b. Provider Domain Status: Approved

     c. Tool Provider Key: Key will be provided by Odigia via email

     d. Tool Provider Secret: Key will be provided by Odigia via email

Then select:
Send User Data: Send user data only over SSL

User Fields to Send: Check Role in Course, Name, & Email Address

Manage Placements

 

  1. On the LTI Tool Providers page, open the option menu for the Odigia URL (Provider Domain) you just added and select Manage Placements

  2. On the Manage Placements: odigia.com page, select the Create Placement button

  3. On the Create Placement page, enter the following information and submit:
  • Label: Odigia Course (This is the name that appears to Instructors and Students  in a course)
  • Handle: Odigia
  • Tool Provider URL: URL provided by Odigia
  • The tool provider key should populate when you add the URL. If not, please enter the keys provided.

OPTIONAL: Opening Odigia in an iFrame

By default, Odigia will open in a New Window. If you would like to make Odigia open inside of an iframe, following the below instructions:

  1. Go to System Admin / Building Blocks / Installed Tools / Basic LTI tools

  2. Choose “Edit launch settings” in tool menu
