Before reading this article, please be sure you understand our main glossary article.
Click Edit Course Content from the homepage or while in your course.
Click the Glossary tab then click Add New Term.
Enter a new term and add a definition in the spaces provided. While in the definition area, click on the three dots to reveal the other icons. Click on either the image icon or the video icon.
When you click on the image icon, you will be prompted to fill out a form and upload an image.
You must enter an image description and you may enter an optional title.
Click the download icon on the top right side of the form.
Now you will upload the image you want to attach to your new glossary term. Click on the Upload files button.
Now you choose the file from your device or drag and drop the file.
Now you can see your file or you may search for your file name.
You will now click on your file URL listed on the form. Click Save to add the image to your new term.
Now when a users clicks on the highlighted glossary term found within the course, they will see both the definition and the image in a pop-out window.
Adding a video is a similar process.
When you click the video icon, you will see this form:
Enter the URL/Web address and click Save.
Your video will be available to users when they click on the highlighted term within the course.
Important note: The images and videos will NOT be viewable within the actual glossary. They will only be seen by users when they click on highlighted terms within the course content.
