If you have an assignment that includes Short Answer questions, the first Short Answer question in the assignment will have an alert on the top that explains that there is a limit of 500 Characters. This limit includes spaces.
There will be an additional message on the bottom of all other Short Answer questions that reinforces this alert (see example below).
If you try to Submit an assignment with Short Answer questions that have excessive characters, you will receive a warning at the top of the assignment (see red panel below).
You will also see another alert above the question: "Answer should be at most 500 characters."
To make sure that you have an answer that is fewer than 500 characters, you may use an application like MS Word. If you use MS Word, please copy and past your response into Word and click on the word count at the bottom which will make a new window open. This new window will include the character count including spaces. That needs to be below 500.
Once you get your response to be below the limit, please copy and paste it back into the Odigia answer space.
Note: It is best to choose Remove Formatting when you paste it into Odigia.
Please check your responses carefully before contacting an Odigia Support Team member.
